| We do have some rules at Les Croix, they are designed to enhance, not limit your enjoyment, and to protect the fish. Please read and abide by them. The management reserve the right to inspect anglers rigs at any time to ensure compliance with the rules as set out below.
Unattended rods will not be tolerated - you must be within 15 metres of baited rods at all times.
Only running rigs or rigs using a safety clip system are allowed. Tubing or lead core must be used above the lead to protect the fish during capture.
Cars may be driven to swims to drop off and pick up tackle under dry conditions only. All cars to be parked in the designated car parking areas.
Fishing is from 2 banks only, no set swims but the Dam is out of bounds to anglers.
All fish to be treated with respect and returned to the water ASAP. Carp sacks are strictly prohibited, anyone caught using a carp sack will be asked to leave the fishery immediately.
3 rods per angler, minimum 12lb (0.33mm) line - monofil only on baited rods, braid permitted on marker and spod rods only. No shock leaders on baited rods. Barbless or crushed barb hooks only, long shank hooks are prohibited - maximum hook size 4.
All anglers must use the landing nets, unhooking mats, and weigh slings which are provided please leave your own nets, mats and slings at home and save the space in the car for other things !
All anglers must be in possession of and use an antiseptic treatment such as Nash medi-carp (available on site). All mats must be wetted prior to placing of fish on them, and during warm weather fish must be kept wet at all times whilst out of the water.
Bait boats only are allowed (available for hire on site). No nuts of any type to be used, and no particle baits (with the exception of properly prepared hemp and particle blend bought on site) tinned sweetcorn is permitted. Quality fresh, frozen, and shelf-life boilies are permitted, if in doubt please ask before you arrive. Bait available on site - click here
No wading except for netting and return of fish to the water.
All gates to be kept closed at all times, gates will be locked at night.
All rubbish including cigarette ends to be bagged and put in the bins provided. No drunken or rowdy behaviour. Please keep noise to a minimum, buzzers/alarms to kept to a reasonable volume especially at night, remote receivers are preferred. |
